They might be happy to go off on that first day or they may well have cried, held tightly to your hand or leg and not let go. Either way it is a time of reflection because your child is moving from home and going to school each day. The next six years of school are a happy time for your child with them exploring, learning new skills, making new friends, reading their first book and the joy that brings and perhaps even getting their first kiss. High school looms for you and your child. The worry about going from being a leader to a youngster amongst so many older students is in my mind of your child.
